Background Image instead of giving color

The background attribute specifies a background-image for an HTML page. The value of this attribute is the URL of the image you want to use. If the image is smaller than the browser window, the image will repeat itself until it fills the entire browser window.

<body background="mybackground.jpg">
Now i undestand what is HTML and how to create a simple html page with title and put some information in the body tag. And how to change the background color to my webpage or give some picture as a background.
</body

The image should be in the same folder as your HTML file. In order for the image to show up, the browser has to be able to find it. The easiest way to do this is to right click on the image above and choose Save and browse to wherever you have saved all your html page and save the image in that path itself.

<body background="mybackground.gif" bgproperties="fixed">

You must have seen pages where the background is fixed and the page just scrolls over it. It can be done by adding an additional code as bgproperties="fixed" in the <body> tag.

Making Text Bold

We can make letters bold. by just simply placing a <b> tag inbetween the letters which is need to be bold

<body>
<b>This is Text is bold</b>
</body>

We are telling the browser that : at the <b> start making letters bold, and at the </b> stop making letters bold.

Making Text Italics

Like wise we discussed above if we want to make our text italics [fancy style] just we have to use <i> in between the letters

<body>
<i>This is Text is Italics</i>
</body>

We are telling the browser that : at the <i> start making letters italics, and at the </i> stop making letters italics.

Underlining

Like wise we discussed above if we want to make our text italics [fancy style] just we have to use <i> in between the letters.

<body>
<u>This is Text is Italics</u>
</body>

We are telling the browser that : at the <u> start making letters underline, and at the </u> stop making letters underline.
We can use the tags in combination if we want to.

<body>
This is Text is <b>Bold> <i>Italics</i> <u>underline</u>
</body

If you are going to use tag pairs in combination, then to avoid confusing the browser, tags should be nested properly, not overlapping. Lets we take an example.
<tagA><tagB>cool</tagA></tagB> Overlapping tags.... BAD !
<tagA><tagB>cool</tagB></tabA> Nested tags.... GOOD !
